DPAM supports the national and global dengue targets as highlighted in the Ministry of Health Malaysia’s “Pelan Strategik Pencegahan dan Kawalan Denggi Kebangsaan 2022-2026” and the World Health Organization’s (WHO) “2021-2030 Roadmap for Neglected Tropical Diseases”:
To reduce national dengue cases by 5% annually
To maintain the national dengue case-fatality rate below 0.2% every year
To reduce global dengue incidence and burden by 25% by 2030
To reduce dengue preventable death to 0% by 2023
